Admissions Interviews

Your pre-medical advisors will provide guidance throughout the admissions process, including interview preparation. Qualified students are eligible to sit for a Pre-Medical Committee interview, which evaluates your knowledge of the profession, motivation, commitment, and interpersonal and communication skills.

In addition, the interview itself is similar to the admissions interview at health professions schools, giving you valuable experience and insights into your areas of strength and need.

Required Admission Tests

The majority of health professional schools require students to submit scores for a standardized test that is appropriate to their chosen field. Many of the tests evaluate the mastery of basic concepts in biology, general and organic chemistry, and physics along with proficiency in scientific problem solving, critical thinking and writing skills. The health professional schools recommend that students take the test prior to the submission of their application. The following web sites will offer details, including when the tests are administered during the calendar year, the cost of the tests and where the test centers are located.
