Parking and Transportation
Freshmen living on campus cannot have cars. Other students may purchase various student parking permits for University garages or surface parking. All parking on campus is by permit only. However, the Forbes Garage is open to visitors and students on a daily basis.

To and from Campus
Campus Loop Bus
The SGA Loop Bus is sponsored by Duquesne’s Student Government Association (SGA) and provides weekend transportation to and from local night spots around Pittsburgh.
- Duquesne students ride the bus for FREE with their student ID.
- Schedule: Friday and Saturday 7:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.
- Route: Stops in downtown Pittsburgh, South Side, Squirrel Hill, Oakland and the Waterfront.
- Campus bus stop for pickup and drop-off is next to the St. Ann’s Living Learning Center.
Ridesharing at Duquesne
Students looking for a ride or willing to offer other students a ride can use the Rideshare e-board on Blackboard under My Communities, University Services.
Zipcar
Zipcar rents cars by the day or by the hour for DU students, faculty and staff.
- Two cars are located on campus.
- Low hourly and daily rates include gas, insurance, maintenance, and parking.
- Students can join for a discounted rate.
Bus and Light Rail Service
Port Authority of Allegheny County provides bus and light rail service around Pittsburgh and the suburbs.
- Students can pay a single flat fee or use weekly and monthly bus passes.
- Some passes can be purchased at the Information desk, third floor of the Duquesne Union.
- Some bus schedules are available at the Office of Commuter Affairs, first floor of the Union.

Taxi Service
Pittsburgh’s taxis are on call when you need them through Yellow Cab Co. and Classy Cab. Taxis cannot be hailed on the street, but can be found near major hotels or called for pickup.
To and from Pittsburgh
Train
Amtrak provides train service to major cities and the nation. The station is located in downtown Pittsburgh at 1100 Liberty Avenue.
Bus Service
Bus service to Pittsburgh is available through Greyhound. The station is at 990 2nd Avenue, close to Duquesne.
Pittsburgh International Airport
Pittsburgh International Airport has several airlines which serve airports around the world. While Duquesne does not provide shuttle service, Duquesne students can easily take the 28X Airport Flyer (bus) from a stop close to campus.
