Master of Science in Leadership, Concentration in Business Ethics


The Master of Science in Leadership, concentration in Business Ethics (MSLBE) program was developed in response to feedback from employers and managers who indicated a strong demand for these skills in today’s complex global marketplace. Students gain a broad-based set of skills to complement their business or technical training. MSLBE students are typically professionals from a wide variety of industries and career levels including:

  • chief operating officer
  • sales manager
  • senate research analysis
  • air force instructor
  • rabbi
  • compliance manager
  • CEO
  • procurement analyst and domestic relations office

Program Structure
This 36-credit master's degree can be completed in two years.  The degree is available entirely online and some courses are also offered on campus in Pittsburgh as well as Fort Indiantown Gap in Lebanon County and Moon Township, PA.

The academic year is structured with three semesters per year: two 15-week terms in fall and spring and one 8-week term in summer. During the 15-week terms, campus courses are offered on eight alternating Saturdays and online courses run continuously. During the accelerated summer semester, campus classes meet for eight consecutive Saturdays and online courses are also held for eight weeks.

Curriculum
The MSLBE curriculum addresses ethical theory as well as application of ethics and leadership in the business environment. Courses include global ethics, information ethics, leading people and managing relationships, conflict resolution and organizational ethics.
