Annual Giving
Annual giving is the lifeblood of the University, touching every aspect of campus life. You may designate gifts for a school, department, program or activity of special interest, or make unrestricted gifts that help Duquesne meet its greatest needs.
Unrestricted gifts of all amounts allow Duquesne to provide a higher level of academic excellence, student services and amenities than tuition income alone would permit, while providing the University with valuable flexibility to meet changing needs and seize unexpected opportunities.
Every gift—at every level—makes a difference. Consider the fact that, in 2007-08, Duquesne received nearly $3.3 million in Annual Fund commitments—many unrestricted and most for gifts of less than $1,000. That’s roughly the equivalent of the annual return from an additional $65 million in endowment.
At the same time, alumni giving participation rates are a key factor in determining Duquesne’s standing in major national college and university rankings. Whatever the amount, your unrestricted annual investment in Duquesne University makes a big difference in students’ lives and the University’s current and future health.
