The principles of community engagement are woven
deeply into Duquesne’s culture.
Through service, students learn the importance of giving back to society, and grow in character, spiritually and intellectually. Each year about 8,000 Duquesne students, faculty and staff volunteer more than 209,800 hours for:
- Charities, social agencies and human services
- Public safety, education and wellness programs
- Neighborhood beautification efforts
- Small business development
