Darwin Day Seminar Series

Discovered by Charles Darwin, evolution by natural selection is the width=central organizing principle of all the biological sciences, from biophysics to ecology. We celebrate Darwin's birth and the importance of his work with yearly seminars and events.

The Darwin Day seminars and events are open to all.

Pittsburgh Bacterial Meeting (PBM)

Every year, the Department of Biological Sciences hosts a one-day meeting to bring together the bacteriology community in the Pittsburgh and tri-state area. While Principal Investigators attend the conference, the focus is on student presentations.  Post docs and graduate students present their research in short talks and posters.  The meeting is organized and hosted by Dr. Joe McCormick. Funding has been provided generously by the Bayer School of Natural and Environmental Sciences and Fisher Scientific.

PBM 2010 will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 on the first floor of Mellon Hall. Inquiries can be sent to pbm@duq.edu.
